All Around the Town
For me, summer means getting out there and doing stuff. Since I’m a bit homebound this year trying to get Makeshift Society underway, you must go for me. Here are links and links riffing off of the word ‘atlas’ and where it took me. Oh, and a couple random ones too, of course.
Curiosity Atlas is a project to cultivate a community focused on experiential living. We’re a group of dabblers and dilettantes who believe life is best lived exploring, learning, moving, creating and connecting locally. We curate and produce unique, hands-on experiences in San Francisco.
The Atlas Obscura is the definitive guidebook and friendly tour-guide to the world’s most wondrous places.
Fractured Atlas is a non-profit organization that serves a national community of artists and arts organizations. Our programs and services facilitate the creation of art by offering vital support to the artists who produce it. We help artists and arts organizations function more effectively as businesses by providing access to funding, healthcare, education, and more, all in a context that honors their individuality and independent spirit.
Thinking for a Living is thought-provoking design content. An oldie but a goodie.
My poet lady friend Matthea has something lovely cooking up at Staten Island for a few weekends this summer. Please go, for my sake!
